Reimagine the interior of a medical building as a center for dementia care.

Process

We worked with the client to understand their customers unique set of challenges. Using research, data, and concept sketches, we developed a miniature “city” that would be highly accessible, open, and safe for the residents to explore.

Outcome

Tiptona Commons will offer people who struggle with dementia a different concept in quality living. We created an environment full of life and continued exploration. Individual suites ring the edges of the building, allowing residents their own domicile, with a street-like circulation. And a “public square” encourages residents to navigate their environment independently as they enjoy time in the library, visit the ice cream shop, and stop by the grocery store.
