Introduce conceptual ideas to spark community conversation about potential future renovations for an historic theater.

Process

Working with an existing strategy to develop a neighboring lot, we designed an ancillary building that houses a small tasting room, new bar service, bathrooms, and elevators for the historic theater. This allows the preservation of the theater while creating a secondary facade that acts as a gateway to an outdoor beer garden. In addition, the concept  broadens the front sidewalks to allow for more public gathering space and encourages the slowing of traffic on a busy cross street.
